Alexa Bliss Calls Charlotte Flair’s Growth Her Biggest WWE Highlight This Year

Alexa Bliss is happy to see Charlotte Flair find success in WWE in ways other than championships this year.

During her recent appearance on ESPN Vibe Check, host Samantha Rivera recalled Alexa Bliss appearing on the show last year with Charlotte Flair. Flair noted at the time that the highlight of her year was winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Bliss at SummerSlam 2025, and how the partnership helped her find herself again after her return.

Since almost a year has passed since that moment, the host asked Alexa Bliss what the highlight of her WWE career has been since then. Bliss replied that it’s witnessing Charlotte Flair’s progression that nobody else noticed. She noted that she’s happy to see Flair shifting from her usual role of chasing championships to someone who values teamwork and friendship.

“I think my highlight this whole year, honestly, has been seeing the progression and the change in Charlotte Flair that no one’s ever seen before. You’ve seen Charlotte go after titles, but you don’t really see her go after friendships too much. So to be on the other end of seeing her find her success in different ways that’s not titles is really rewarding and really fun,” Alexa Bliss said.

Alexa Bliss gave an injury update

During the same interview, Alexa Bliss was seen wearing the arm brace she’s had on since enduring a storyline attack at the hands of Jade Cargill on the July 10, 2026, episode of SmackDown, where she appeared to have sustained an arm injury. Fans expressed concern about her condition, though some did point out that she’s likely selling the attack.

Bliss explained how she suffered the injury, provided an update on her condition, and also addressed the possibility of returning in time for SummerSlam without making any guarantees.

“Jade got me. She bent my elbow backward with a chair, which is fine because I have bendy elbows, but it went a little too far and when she slammed the chair, I think there is a bone chip and this ligament is a little overstretched,” Bliss said.

“It’s sore, but it’s more of an inconvenience with how bulky [the brace] is. It’s keeping things in place, it’s healing fast, and I’m hoping it’s just a couple of weeks and we’re good. I don’t know. It just depends on my elbow and what… and what the plan is. You know, we don’t know really what the plan is for SummerSlam… but I know that whatever it is, I know at least Charlotte will be ready,” Bliss said.
