Amal Clooney played with silhouettes in a pair of unexpectedly sultry boots in New York City on November 1.
The lawyer shared sweet PDA with husband George Clooney while layering a little white dress and a statement suede jacket.
Meanwhile, George went monochromatic in head-to-toe navy blue with contrasting pops of black.
Amal Clooney reminded fans that her off-duty style is just as cop-worthy as her red carpet glamour during a loved-up date night on November 1. The British lawyer swapped out her long gilded gowns in favor of a micro minidress and towering boots while closing out the weekend with husband George Clooney.

Amal put a sultry twist on the fall shift dress in a tiny cream number that just grazed her upper thighs. Linking arms with George as they headed to a reading of Smear at Seaview Studio, the human rights activist played with contrasts by adding a pair of black over-the-knee suede boots. The unexpectedly sultry footwear added several inches to her stature and completely covered her legs in textured black leather, disappearing past the hemline of her skirt.

Amal layered with a thigh-length cognac-hued suede coat, which featured a row of glossy gold buttons running down the front and complemented her caramel-highlighted brunette hair. The mom-of-two—who shares 9-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with George—styled her long locks in a voluminous side-parted blowout, framing her deep brown smoky eyeshadow, peach-flushed cheekbones, glossy mauve lipstick, and chunky gold earrings.

Meanwhile, George showed off longer salt-and-pepper facial hair in a navy blue blazer, matching slacks, and a complementary fitted T-shirt. He broke up the monochromatic blue hue with shiny pops of black in the form of a belt and patent leather dress shoes.

Almost a month ago, Amal pulled a sartorial 180 in a liquid gold optical illusion gown while hosting the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s annual The Albies gala on October 9. The star looked every inch the leading lady in her glittering off-the-shoulder gown, which was dripping in beaded fringe from the bottom of her sequined bodice to her floor-skimming hemline.
As she posed with George at the Natural History Museum venue in London, Amal added some extra sparkle with a pair of diamond-encrusted statement earrings, a bedazzled ruched clutch, and metallic stilettos.
