Never forget Amanda Seyfried is a great singer.

The 40-year-old actress appeared on the Tuesday, Jan. 27 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and professed her love for the host's live recording of her song "Beautiful Disaster" before spontaneously singing the track as a duet with Clarkson — and subsequently collapsing on the interview couch.

"The power ballad of this century is ‘Beautiful Disaster,’" said Seyfried of the song, originally released on Clarkson's 2003 debut album Thankful.

"I heard that you liked ‘Beautiful [Disaster],’ and you like the live version, which is my favorite," replied Clarkson, 43, referencing the live rendition of the song from her 2004 album Breakaway.

Seyfried then admitted, "I, to be honest, haven’t ever listened to — maybe once — the other version."

Clarkson agreed. "I don’t like the other version. So sorry. But I love the live version," said the Grammy winner. "Here’s the thing. You can sing live, and you sing well. And we’re both here. And I think…"

Excited at the idea of duetting the song together, Seyfried giddily asked, "Could you let me do that?"

"You start. I want to harmonize," said Clarkson.

Accompanied by live instrumentation, the two women then sang the first verse and chorus of "Beautiful Disaster," which features the lyrics: "Oh and I don't know / I don't know what he's after / But he's so beautiful / Such a beautiful disaster / And if I could hold on / Through the tears and the laughter / Would it be beautiful? / Or just a beautiful disaster?"

Upon finishing the chorus, Seyfried (who's previously shown off her vocal chops in films like Mamma Mia!) quickly collapsed into the couch with a mind-boggled smile on her face.

Clarkson then said, "I keep telling her that you gotta come to Vegas. You gotta come sing it with me in Vegas. Let us have a moment on stage."

The "Miss Independent" musician has several Las Vegas performances scheduled for July and August as part of her Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

"The whole show is so live. It's so beautiful — instruments, we have strings," Clarkson told Seyfried. "I'm just saying you should come to Vegas and sing it with me."
