Anna Faris responded to rumors that she was in Toy Story 5.

The Scary Movie actress said she loves "doing voice work" and has previously appeared in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and The Emoji Movie.

Her latest appearance, Scary Movie 6, hits theaters in June.

Is Anna Faris toying with us?

In an interview with Variety published on April 1, the Scary Movie actress addressed reports that she was slated to star in the upcoming animated film Toy Story 5. In May 2025, Deadline reported that Faris would be joining the cast "in an undisclosed part."

When the upcoming Pixar movie was mentioned, Faris put the rumors to rest, sadly confirming that she wouldn't be in Toy Story 5. "No, that’s just a rumor. I’m not in it. I wish I was. I love doing voice work, but no, that was an internet rumor. My mom and dad called me, and they’re like, 'You’re in it?' I was like, 'No, but I wish I was.' "

Among Faris' voice acting credits are a 2025 episode of Phineas & Ferb, The Emoji Movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

In Faris' upcoming movie, Scary Movie 6, she reprises her role as Cindy Campbell. The actress told Variety about the screenwriting process for the comedy films, noting that the script she received wouldn't be the final product.

"You do get sent a script, but you know that things are going to change. It’s always been a collaborative team spirit," she explained.

"You understand that they’re going to be changing things, modifying some jokes, adding your own. But the script they sent me before all the details have been ironed out was great."

She also revealed whether she will let her son Jack, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt, see the latest installment in the franchise. "Yeah. Is that awful? I just feel like it’s such a part of it. He was on set. I don’t know if I would tell every parent they should let their 13-year -old, see it, but I do feel like his situation is a little different."

Per Scary Movie 6's official synopsis, "The Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe."

They "reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every 'final chapter' that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed."

Screenwriter and star Marlon Wayans told Entertainment Weekly in March that the movie isn't a reboot, but "a rebooquel." "This movie is multi-generational. It's a conversation comedically that is needed, that needs to be had from our generation down to … Gen Alpha. And it's all inclusive," he said.

Scary Movie 6 premieres in theaters on June 5.
