Brett Kissel and his wife, Cecilia, better known as Cece, have revealed they are getting a divorce after nearly 15 years of marriage. The couple announced the news on Friday, Dec. 19, in a joint post on social media, sharing a handwritten letter with their fans and followers that included the reason for their separation.

āIt is with a clear mind and a loving heart that I have made the decision to end our marriage of almost 15 years,ā the note began. āWe have come to realize that, after a great deal of deep soul searching, that we are no longer suited to be married to one another.ā
The Couple Shares Four Kids Together
The country music artist, 35, and his now ex-partner, an entrepreneur, public speaker, and social media influencer, share four children ā daughters Mila, 9, and Aria, 8, and sons Leo, 6, and Atlas, 3. They informed folks that while they are fully aware that stepping away from marriage has been āa very big decision,ā itās one that they āhave not taken lightly.ā
āAs we move forward in our next chapter of life, we look forward to continuing to co-parent our four amazing children, and we will definitely remain great friends,ā the two insisted. āWe look to our future with optimism, with love, and with great respect for one another. Sincerely, Brett and Cece.
They Are Grateful for Support as They Navigate a New Chapter
Alongside the letter, Kissel and Cece included their wedding rings, revealing they have removed them as they continue to walk new and separate paths in life. Even though the post has barred individuals from seeing the comments, alongside it, the exes shared a caption showing their appreciation for people who have supported them in their decision to enter a new chapter as newly single parents.
āThank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate this new chapter,ā the caption reads. āWe would like to share that we are all doing well and have quietly been separated now for a year and a half. ā¤ļøā
