Brazen Donald Trump moans he has 'very little time' to play golf despite astonishing stats

Donald Trump landed in Ireland on Saturday morning and couldn't resist the opportunity to brag about his infamous golfing ability within hours of his arrival.
President Trump has embarked on a two-day trip that will include engagements in Dublin and a visit to his Doonbeg golf course, where the Irish Open is being staged this weekend.
An increased security presence has been introduced at the course, with the likes of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry discussing the impact of the President's attendance. Trump, who is an avid golfer, is expected attend the final day of the tournament on Sunday and there are reports he could even hand over the trophy to the winner.

Trump's golfing habits continue to attract criticism and he plays almost every weekend at his clubs in Florida, Virginia and New Jersey, coming at a huge cost to the US taxpayer.
Golf tracking websites suggest he has spent around 22 percent of his second presidency term enjoying his favorite hobby.
But shortly after arriving in Ireland, he took to Truth Social to share a clip of him teeing off on the course, writing: "Such a great golfer. Too bad I have very little time to play!!!"

Much has been made of his ability with Trump posting on social media last month to taunt opponents, announcing himself the winner of a title at Bedminster golf course.
“I won with a score of 70, and am so honoured in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!” he wrote.
However, social media footage circulated suggesting he had in fact cheated, with the President having a long-documented history of accusations regarding potential rule bending on the course.
He is not expected to get on the course in a playing capacity this weekend after security was ramped up at Doonbeg for his appearance.
McIlroy is among the players eyeing victory, having claimed the title last year, although Lowry is in pole position on day three.

Speaking ahead of Trump's arrival, the Masters champion said: "It’s going to be different, but the one thing I’d say is his golf resorts have hosted PGA Tour events, European Tour events, LIV events.
“He’s a big fan of golf, he’s a wonderful supporter of golf. It’s going to be different with him being here but we’re here to play a golf tournament, and it’s a good golf course, and keep our head down and play.
“I think the weekend, especially when he’s here, crowds will be limited. Obviously, there’s a lot that goes on. So, logistically, it provides some challenges, absolutely. But at the same time, if he wants to come and watch the Irish Open, who are we to say no?”
