Cher showed she doesn’t have any hard feelings towards Michael Douglas, just days after the Basic Instinct actor shaded her 1988 Oscar win.
A rep for the 80-year-old icon issued a four-word statement to Page Six.
Douglas made headlines when he claimed that Glenn Close deserved the Best Actress Oscar that year during an interview on October 30.
Cher doesn’t have any bad blood after Michael Douglas shaded her 1988 Academy Award win for Moonstruck. The multi-hyphenate had a telling four-word response after the Fatal Attraction actor argued that his co-star Glenn Close deserved to win the Best Actress trophy that year.

“Cher adores Michael Douglas,” a rep for the 80-year-old star told Page Six, shutting down any beef speculation following Douglas’s headline-making comments, which he made during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on October 30.
While joining Close, Kieran Culkin, and Naomi Ackie on Norton’s iconic red couch, the conversation turned to Close’s track record of getting snubbed at the Oscars. Despite getting passed over during eight nominations, the 101 Dalmatians actress appeared to have a sense of humor about her losses. Close, 79, joked that the honorary Academy Award she’s receiving in November at the Governors Awards is a consolation prize as the members “probably don’t want to feel guilty anymore.”

Douglas came to Close’s defense. He argued that “she should have won with Fatal Attraction, in which she starred as a woman named Alex Forrest who starts an affair with his character Dan Gallagher. Close’s portrayal of the book editor, who develops stalking and violent behavior after Gallagher attempts to end their affair and return to his wife, earned her her fourth Oscar nomination.

“Oh, wow,” Norton responded, leading Douglas to jokingly drop some extra shade about Cher’s win. “I know. That’s what we all said,” he quipped.
Ackie also weighed in, teasingly responding, “The shade! The shade, mate.”
Douglas, who’s maintained a close friendship with Close over the decades, has been busy dropping bombshells with the release of his unfiltered new memoir, One Helluva Ride. In its pages, the Basic Instinct actor came clean about a secret love affair with former co-star Kathleen Turner, a “wildly-embarassing” friendship-ending incident with Julia Roberts, and his brief 2013 separation from wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.
