Debbie Gibson and Tiffany Share a Funny Porta-Potty Encounter at Nostalgia Convention

Back in the late '80s, teen pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany (aka, Tiffany Darwish) ran into each quite a bit—but it was usually moving up on the Billboard charts, which both singer dominated off and on in that era. Today, however, Debbie, now 55, and Tiffany, now 54, ran into each in a slightly less glamorous spot—at the porta-potties during a nostalgia convention of all places.

Both women were featured guests at Rewind Washington, a nostalgia and retro convention, which was being held this weekend at the Washington State Fair and Events Center in Puyallup, Washington. And well, when nature calls ...

Gibson posted the silly and adorable meetup, laughing and saying, "You never know who you're gonna run into at the porta-potties!" "Hello, so glamorous!" Tiffany says, and the duo pose for a quick video and exchange niceties.

Both teens at the time, Debbie and Tiffany rose to fame around and about 1987 and skyrocketed with big hits. At age 16, Gibson debuted her album Out of the Blue, featuring hits like "Only in My Dreams" and "Shake Your Love," and, at age, 15, Tiffany released her self-titled debut album, Tiffany, with the popular "I Think We're Alone Now" cover.

In 1987, there probably was not a high school dance in a cafeteria in all of America that wasn't playing both these artists. While the teen mags at the time tried to make up a faux rivalry between to two pop sensations, the two were actually friendly and supportive as young teen stars. They didn't get to know each other until a few years later when they starred in the movie Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (2011) together.
