Faithful or not, nobody on *The Traitors* is truly innocent. And that's what makes it so fun.

The dashing, silver-tongued Alan Cumming hosts the U.S. version of the series, iterations of which exist all over the world, from Australia and the Netherlands to the United Kingdom.

The premise is similar to popular party games like Mafia and Werewolf, with a small handful of secret "Traitors" seeded into a group of "Faithfuls." Everyone is competing for a cash prize (accumulated through various challenges), but Traitors who make it to the end of the game will steal that prize from any surviving "Faithfuls." As such, Faithfuls must work together to pinpoint the Traitors in their midst.

It's harder than it seems, especially when the cast is filled with reality stars from shows like *Survivor*, *Big Brother*, and *The Challenge*, where a knack for deception is key.

With season 4 rapidly approaching, now's the time to prepare for the treachery to come. Here's everything to know about *The Traitors* season 4.**

As always, *The Traitors* is heavy on *Survivor* and *Big Brother *players, who tend to have a leg up on the competition. *Survivor* alums include Rob Cesternino, Yam Yam Arocho, and Natalie Anderson, while *Big Brother *fans will recognize Ian Terry and Tiffany Mitchell.

The franchise with the most players, however, is the *Real Housewives, *with Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Caroline Stanbury, Porsha Williams, and returning player Dorinda Medley sharpening their knives. If the last few seasons have taught us anything, it's to never discount a housewife.

This year's cast also features a handful of other reality luminaries — *Dancing With the Stars*' Mark Ballas and *Top Chef*'s Kristen Kish — and a motley assortment of actors (Stephen Colletti, Michael Rapaport), Olympic figure skaters (Johnny Weir, Tara Lipinski), and drag queens (Monét X Change). Is there Traitors season 4 trailer?

In June 2025, Cumming unveiled the cast while teasing a season haunted by whispers of "betrayal, backstabbing, and the occasional dagger in the dark."

His Scottish brogue is as mellifluous as ever; just listen to how he rolls the Rs of Rob Rausch.

A proper season 4 trailer arrived in December with a generous look at Cumming's dashing outfits and the sprawling 19th-century Scottish castle where the backstabbing unfolds.

We also get a glimpse of the trickery and paranoia pervading the cast, with the notorious Lisa Rinna looking to be an early villain. "Lisa would run her grandmother down," intones one player.

But not everyone has that same killer instinct. "I am mostly looking forward to chatting and snacking," says a smiling Ron Funches.**

The first three episodes of *The Traitors* season 4 premiere on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. ET.

Two episodes will stream on Thursday, Jan. 15, with new episodes dropping on a weekly basis from there on out.**
