Jules Latimer and Kat Cunning got engaged in three proposals
“This is the moment we got engaged … For the second time on this day and the third time to each other,” Cunning wrote alongside a series of snaps from one of their beachside proposals
In a video clip included in their Instagram announcement, the Fire Country star could be seen popping the question on a separate occasion while sailing on a yacht
Jules Latimer and Kat Cunning are engaged.
On Monday, Jan. 5, the Fire Country star, 32, and her partner, 36, who is known for their roles in Netflix’s Trinkets and HBO’s The Deuce, announced that they are taking the next step in their relationship after three proposals.
“This is the moment we got engaged,” Cunning wrote alongside several photos from their romantic oceanside proposal, complete with red and green fireworks lighting up the sky behind them, in a joint Instagram post. “For the second time on this day and the third time to each other.”
While one snap showed Latimer getting down on one knee in the sand, while other pics show the pair cozying up and sharing a sweet embrace by the water.
In the caption, Cunning reminisced on their “very first date in New York” and the moment that they knew they were meant to be together after meeting for lunch in Brooklyn.
“A three-course meal on the day we met, it left seeds in our teeth,” they wrote. “And we left wishing for a flosser, as much as we wished we had kissed … You sent me a picture of one when you got home. You showed me early that you could give me what I ask for, and teach me what I need.”

Cunning also seemingly shared a glimpse into the first of their three proposals.
“You said yes to me over Labor Day weekend when I gave you a ring that encapsulates the sharp angles of your mind and the rabbit-hole arcs of your body,” they continued. “A hot tub, a full moon, Dijon and I dropping to our knees under Joshua tree stars with Juli-cat watching from the Airbnb.”

As for their second proposal Cunning said yes to Latimer on Dec. 23 while on a yacht “small enough to feel like an exoskeleton.”
“I said yes to the waves and the Tequila the humpback whales diving, to the dirty dancing song you played over the speakers and the question you finally popped over open ocean under setting sun which looked like your finger paintings of my body,” they shared.
Indeed, a short video included in the Instagram carousel features Latimer getting down on one knee and popping the question as Cunning broke down in tears. Behind them, the water rushed by as they sailed under the colorful skies on a small boat.
“I said yes to a nap, yes to this dress, and yes when they told me to push a button, not knowing it would light up the sky, framing you on one knee with a single flosser in a ring box,” Cunning wrote. “It’s hard to give a Scorpio a new feeling, And it’s hard for both of us to relinquish control, But you make it easy to keep saying yes.”
“These pictures are proof of the fact that I have truly never felt this way before, But I know that it’s good,” they concluded. “And I am ready to have the time of my life For the rest of my life With you.”
