While chatting with Gayle King on the carpet during the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, the Heated Rivalry star shared his definition of a great first date, with his response leaving the famed journalist speechless

Hudson Williams is detailing his idea of a perfect first date.
While chatting with Gayle King on the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, the Heated Rivalry star, 24, shared his definition of a great first date. Williams thought about the question before stunning the 71-year-old journalist with his response.
“A lot of things. A lot of things. I don’t know," the actor began. "Good conversation and good laughing and good f------.“
After a brief pause, King laughed before she replied, “I think that does sound like a good first date.”

The breakout star of Crave's Heated Rivalry hit the carpet for his very first Golden Globes, where he's slated to present an award with his costar Connor Storrie during the ceremony.
Williams wore a white peak-lapel dinner jacket trimmed in grosgrain, paired with a white silk evening shirt, black evening trousers and a white grosgrain cummerbund, all by Giorgio Armani. He added a Bulgari necklace for some shine.
Williams and Storrie, who play rival hockey stars on fictional professional teams in the show, streaming on HBO Max, that's based on the book series by Rachel Reid, have been everywhere (and then some) over the past few months. To promote the show, which is based on the novel of the same name by author Rachel Reid, Williams and Storrie have taken the internet by storm in viral interviews, sexy photo shoots and a parade of party appearances.
In an interview on the red carpet with E!, Williams gushed over his look, saying he felt great in his Armani look and Bulgari jewels. Williams also joked that he's not overwhelmed by "the grand scale" of how popular the show has gotten but he does get overwhelmed by how many emails he gets now.

Williams, who plays Canadian hockey player Shane Hollander, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Jan. 7 and not only demonstrated how he stretches just like a real hockey player, but also clued host Jimmy Fallon in on the intimacy garments he and Storrie, 25, wore for the sexy show.
“They call it a c--- sock,” Williams told the host.
The audience laughed as Fallon made a face, noting that this episode contained “the most bleeping we’ve ever done on the history of The Tonight Show.”
“They call it a modesty garment,” Williams continued. “But by the end, they just gave up on any of them.”
