Giada De Laurentiis shared an Instagram post recapping 2025 on Wednesday, Dec. 31
The celebrity chef said she was grateful for "travel, a new cookbook, a new restaurant, growing businesses, loving our fur babies"
She also posted a carousel of images showing highlights with daughter Jade and boyfriend Shane Farley
Giada De Laurentiis is looking back on the highs and lows of the past year.
“What a year 💫,” the celebrity chef began the caption to an Instagram post on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
“A year of immense loss in our community and new beginnings,” she wrote, the first part echoing a message she shared following the Los Angeles Wildfires last January, when she acknowledged “a very long & heartbreaking week in our community.”
The Giadzy founder, 55, went on to express gratitude for the many positives 2025 brought.

“The beginning of Jadey’s last year at home,” she wrote, referring to daughter Jade, 17. “Travel, a new cookbook, a new restaurant, growing businesses, loving our fur babies.”
“Grateful for the ride, and so grateful for all of you,” she concluded the post. "Have a safe New Year’s Eve, and andiamo 2026!”
An accompanying carousel of photos highlighting events from the past year showed De Laurentiis sharing special moments with Jade, boyfriend Shane Farley and the family’s beloved pets.

In December, she shared a video in which Jade nervously opens her college acceptance letter, and the mother-daughter duo then celebrate the happy news that Jade will be attending an undisclosed school in the fall.
"Amazing, you did it, Jade!" the proud mom exclaims.
Jade's father and Giada's ex-husband, Todd Thompson, can be heard on the phone, saying, "Jade, this is the biggest accomplishment of your life, congratulations!"

2025 was also an exciting year professionally for De Laurentiis, whose accomplishments included releasing a new cookbook, Super-Italian, and opening a Chicago restaurant, Sorellina by Giada at Hollywood Casino Joliet.
While Sorellina offers a more casual vibe, its sister spot Sorella — a Tuscan steakhouse — is set to open in the Windy City in 2026.

“The Midwest is a place that I haven't been able to tap all these years, so it's exciting to be able to do that and to have two different types of restaurants," the Food Network alum told PEOPLE in May, noting that fans would "have a blast" dining at the two eateries.
Since leaving the network after two decades in 2023, De Laurentiis has also focused on her lifestyle brand, Giadzy. In June, she returned to TV for the Prime Video special Giada in My Kitchen.
