Before they officially confirmed their romance, Bird toured with Rapp on her Snow Hard Feelings tour from 2023 to 2024, and their onstage chemistry had fans buzzing with speculation over whether they were dating. At the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in March 2024, the pair stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time, and since then, they haven't been shy about showing off their love on social media or gushing about each other in the press.
"Sheās my best friend. I worship her," Rapp said of her girlfriend to Cosmopolitan in June 2025. "I love talking to her, and I also just love watching her talk. Thereās something so special about watching the person you are deeply enamored with talk about something they find interesting that has nothing to do with you."
