Jessica Simpson is switching things up with a new hairstyle, trading her usual blonde locks for long brunette hair.
Celebrity colorist Rita Hazan shared a photo of the singer’s darker look on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of her latest beauty transformation.
She also celebrated her new look with the caption, “You never need a reason to look hot ❤️🔥.”

Simpson has experimented with brunette hair before, including a transformation in December 2025 by Hazan.
While speaking to People, the stylist described the warm, rich shade as “hot chocolate brunette” and explained that achieving the final color took time.
“It took a few hours to color because we kept making it darker and darker, she said. “I didn’t want to go too dark at once, so we gradually increased the hue to ensure that we got the most perfect tone,” Hazan added.

She added that the “Take My Breath Away” singer’s hairstyle was meant to complement her music and overall personality. “I think her music is very moody,” Hazan said. “It’s a full vibe, so the hair has to match — very deep and multi layered and dimensional with the color.”

Simpson was recently seen at Los Angeles International Airport, sporting long caramel-brown waves with blonde highlights. The shade was darker than the brunette color she briefly sported last December.
According to apublication, the “I Wanna Love You Forever” singer paired her hair with a graphic T-shirt, a red-and-blue plaid shirt featuring embellished shoulders, distressed jeans, black platform boots, and oval sunglasses. The loose, grunge-inspired outfit worked with the darker color without it looking too styled.

Simpson has been getting back into music after taking a long break from the industry. In a December 2025 interview with Allure, the “Irresistible” singer opened up about returning to her passion.

“And that makes me feel young when I’m present with myself, when I’m writing in my journals. That’s where all of my inner confidence comes from,” she added.
