Julia Stiles’ gay Dancing With the Stars pro Ezra Sosa says he wants a future same-sex pairing on the show.

Sosa said he’s “put in my word” to be cast opposite another man on a forthcoming installment.

“I’m working my magic!” the 25-year-old said.

Dancing With the Stars pro Ezra Sosa would very much like to tango on camera with another member of the LGBTQ community.

The DWTS regular and Julia Stiles’ current on-screen partner revealed that he’s lobbied the show’s behind-the-scenes team to cast him in a future same-sex pairing on the competition series.

“I’m working my magic!” he told Out in a recent interview. “I definitely want that 100 percent to happen.”

Sosa, 25, said that dancing with another man in the ballroom has “actually been my dream ever since I joined the show” in 2024 for season 33.

“I’ve been so passionate about same-sex dancing in general, especially being part of the queer community,” Sosa told the publication.

He added that he’s “put in my word to the casting director” to make a future same-sex pairing happen in the ballroom.

“We’ll see what happens over time,” he teased.

While Sosa hasn’t danced with a same-sex partner since his DWTS debut, he’s still partnered with notable celebrities in the past. Including the aforementioned Stiles, with whom he’s currently competing, Sosa notably danced with con artist Anna Delvey in 2024, though the pair were eliminated first.

Sosa returned the following year to dance with Olympian Jordan Chiles, with the couple finishing in third place overall.

In addition to Sosa’s dream about dancing with a same-sex partner in the future, the show has paired other celebrities with professional dancers of the same sex on past editions.

This season, Love Thy Nader personality Sarah Jane Nader danced with pro Hailey Bills, while JoJo Siwa and dancer Jenna Johnson finished season 30 as the runners-up in 2021.

As for male contestants, controversial RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Shangela competed on season 31 with Gleb Savchenko, with the entertainer competing in drag throughout the installment.

Sosa and Stiles return to the Dancing With the Stars ballroom tonight to dance to Disney-themed numbers on ABC and Disney+.
