Justin and Emily Baldoni celebrated 13 years of marriage with heartfelt Instagram tributes and wedding throwback photos

The couple shares two children: daughter Maiya Grace, born in 2015, and son Maxwell Roland-Samuel, born in 2017

Justin previously reflected on their marriage as a “fortress”

Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, are celebrating 13 years of marriage.

On Monday, July 27, the couple, who wed in July 2013, each penned touching tributes to one another on Instagram.

Sharing a picture that appeared to be from their wedding festivities, Justin, 42, wrote, “13 years later… we’re still dancing. ❤️ Happy anniversary, my love. I’m pretty sure this was the exact moment my pants ripped open. 😂 #FinallyTeenagers.”

Emily, 41, shared a black-and-white photograph, seemingly taken after they said: “I do.”

“Marriage: still my favorite lift. 😜 Thirteen, baby!!,” she wrote.

In the comments, some suggested that Emily’s post was “shade” toward Blake Lively, whose years-long legal battle with Baldoni included an allegation that he’d made negative comments about her weight as he prepared for a scene in It Ends With Us in which he would pick her up.

“She’s a savage with the play-on word.. ,” wrote one commenter, seemingly referencing Lively’s claim.

“I bet you this lift did not hurt his back!,” another commenter added.

Emily has been by Baldoni’s side through his legal battle with Blake Lively, which commenced in December 2024 after Lively filed a complaint against him and others alleging sexual harassment, followed by what her attorneys described as a retaliatory public smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation. Lively’s sexual harassment claim, among others in the complaint, was later dismissed.

After Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement in May, the Baldonis spoke out in an Instagram video on July 8.

“We are healing,” said Justin in a portion of the video message. “If you’ve ever been through something traumatic, you know that healing isn’t linear. It looks different every day. We have had to rethink for ourselves what is real, and what matters. It’s this. It’s our family, it’s our friends, it’s our community, who have been there for us, it’s our faith.”

Justin previously revealed the key to their longstanding marriage while speaking to PEOPLE in October 2024.

“For my family, we view marriage as a fortress,” Justin told PEOPLE while discussing his partnership with Purina Dog Chow at the NY Dog Film Festival.

“And a fortress is something that you build yourself, that protects you from the winds of the world, and then the trials and the tests that come your way,” he continued.

He also said that what keeps their relationship “sane” is living their lives more broadly.

“We’re just people in this big, massive floating rock in the middle of a universe that is constantly expanding that doesn’t have a beginning or an end,” he said. “And then you’re like, oh, okay, well ... ”
