Kaia Gerber recreated one of her mom Cindy Crawford’s most iconic ‘90s looks in a skintight white dress

Gerber wore the dress and peep-toe mules while making an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on September 9.

The 25-year-old model looked just like her mother with a voluminous blowout and brown curls.

Kaia Gerber knows she looks just like her supermodel mom Cindy Crawford, and she’s leaning all the way into their look-alike appearance.

On September 9, Gerber, 25, recreated one of Crawford’s most iconic ‘90s looks during a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “Do you get sick of people telling you [that] you look like your mom?” Kimmel asked Gerber, acknowledging the mother-daughter duo’s striking resemblance. Shaking her head, Gerber was quick to respond. “No, please say it more,” she replied. “Thank you.”

For the interview, Gerber took the stage in a figure-hugging white dress, a clear nod to her mom’s white Ralph Lauren halter dress on the runway at New York Fashion Week in 1991. Crawford’s minidress featured a backless design with lapels along the neck and a voluminous circle skirt. Her glam team made the look pop with smoky eye makeup, while Crawford’s hair team styled her feathery brown waves in a breezy side part.

Gerber’s square-neck dress featured two thin straps along the shoulders and a sleek pencil skirt that hit just above her knees. She completed the skintight ensemble with white peep-toe heels and a set of brown waves straight from her mom’s ‘90s lookbook. Letting the dress speak for itself, the 25-year-old model kept her makeup clean and simple, opting for a set of lengthy, neutral nails.

In September 2024, Gerber gave another nod to her mom’s iconic look while attending the premiere of Shell at the Toronto International Film Festival. For the movie premiere, the model wore a bodycon maxi dress with a sweetheart neckline and a built-in bustier by Hervé Léger. She accessorized with a silver necklace and white pointed-toe stilettos.

Gerber isn’t the only celebrity inspired by her mom’s signature ‘90s style. While promoting Challengers in Milan, Italy on April 14, 2024, Zendaya channeled Crawford in a the same, archival Ralph Lauren halter dress Crawford first modeled at NYFW. Like Gerber, Zendaya, who rocked blonde hair at the time, kept her accessories simple, pairing the minidress with Bulgari jewelry and white stilettos.
