If a three-hour King Gizz set somehow wasn’t enough for you… how about two?

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have unveiled the lineup for their 2026 Croxton Block Party, with the Melbourne psych-rock heroes once again transforming The Croxton carpark into a two-day mini festival packed with friends, collaborators and some of their favourite artists.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard – ‘Level 5’

Taking place across Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, the weekend will feature mammoth three-hour headline sets from King Gizzard on both nights, alongside performances from Japanese punk-pop legends Shonen Knife, Sydney rockers C.O.F.F.I.N., Byron Bay psych favourites Babe Rainbow, Gut Health, ORB, Public Figures, Heavy Moss, Moktar and plenty more.

To boot, even more artists are still to be announced.

The event returns after the successful debut of the Croxton Block Party in 2025, once again transforming the venue’s surrounding carpark into a festival site celebrating Melbourne’s famously eclectic music community.

For The Croxton, the partnership also marks another chapter in a long-running relationship with one of Australia’s most adventurous bands.

“It’s a fitting one for us,” the venue shared. “Gizz played their first-ever Croxton show back in December 2015, just after we opened our doors, and they’ve been back eight times since – including a three-night residency in 2016, the run-up to Polygondwanaland in 2018, and their legendary Bushfire Benefit show back in 2020.”

“We’re so honoured to have the boys back for a Block Party takeover in 2026.”

Beyond the music, King Gizzard are also partnering with climate impact agency FEAT, with $1 from every ticket going towards biodiversity restoration on Tasmania’s Lungtalanana Island.

The initiative will help restore habitat for native species including the Bass Strait wombat and long-nosed potoroo through a project led by the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre alongside WWF, Green Collar, the University of Tasmania and FEAT.

With more artists still to be announced and two sprawling King Gizzard headline performances locked in, this year’s Block Party is shaping up to be one of Melbourne’s most unique live music weekends.
