Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky have welcomed their first child.
The couple has been engaged since 2024.
The Born This Way singer has previously expressed a desire to start a family.

Pop superstar Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
The 40-year-old and Polansky welcomed the baby earlier this year, though the sex, date of birth, and more information weren’t immediately available at press time.
EW has reached out to Gaga’s team for comment.

Gaga and Polansky were, however, recently photographed by Page Six in northern California, with Gaga holding a baby in her arms as they walked.
The pair’s engagement was revealed in July 2024, while Gaga was in Paris preparing to perform at the Olympics opening ceremony.

She and Polansky have been together for nearly six years, with Gaga previously telling EW that he inspired not only her 2025 album Mayhem, but also her work in remixing classic jazz tunes for her Joker: Folie à Deux soundtrack album Harlequin.

“I think it’s a beautiful thing when you can, with your partner, share an artistic experience that might be hard for some people, but Michael understands me so well that it actually gave birth to this record,” Gaga said at the time. “If anything, his understanding of Lee in our everyday life and through the filming of the movie helped him to be more of an incredible collaborator. He was always working on how do we push the sound to sonically tell her story in a way that would be vibrant, but also tense, dangerous, and also pure?”
The singer also told EW that she “was so excited to settle down and start a family” with Polansky. “That’s something that we both want.”
Gaga has spoken about her desire to have a family on several occasions, including during an October 2025 appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
“I would like to do many things,” she said. “All of these things are open. But what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”
Gaga similarly expressed excitement over motherhood in March 2025 in an interview with The New York Times, but said that she had once had “apprehension” about taking on the role.
“The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing,” she said. “So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most. If our children only understand Mommy’s job, that’s a very narrow view of life. There’s so much in the world, and I want them to be able to choose for themselves who they want to be. I’m also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon. Like, today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There’s an incredible amount of narcissism in this. How do I live a life where I’m passionate about my art while also making more space for other things?”
Gaga has stayed busy in 2026, as well. In April, she both wrapped the Mayhem tour and was at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, in which she appeared as herself.
