A former butler recalled that Prince Harry disliked having security around him as a child, claiming the young royal would often wander around the back of the house to avoid the officials. The revelation comes amid Harry’s ongoing push for taxpayer-funded security for himself, Meghan Markle, and their children.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold recalls Harry trying to avoid his protection officers

In a conversation with “The Royals Uncensored” show, former Royal butler Grant Harrold revealed that although it has been a longtime since he worked for the royal family, he particularly remembers security arrangements surrounding Prince Harry. He said, “He had a close protection officer; there were a couple of backups that would follow them around, but I remember he used to try and avoid them.”

He stated that Harry always tried to escape whenever he found the officials around. This is because he didn’t like having security follow him. Harrold further elaborated, “He used to disappear round the back of the house, and you’d have a police protection officer say, ‘Where has he gone?'”

Recently, royal expert Jennie Bond provided her thoughts on Prince Harry’s latest security argument and how his case may get weakened if he continues to show his affluent lifestyle. She revealed that arriving in a private jet could create the wrong image in front of people, which won’t be good for his security case.

She added, “Yes, he needs security. Yes, he has offered to pay, but the Metropolitan Police cannot be ‘hired’. And yes, he feels he needs armed protection, which his private bodyguards cannot provide in the UK.”

She stated that if Prince Harry could afford a jet or borrow one from someone, people might think that he’s able to pay for a “substantial level of private security.” She further suggests that such a case doesn’t work in his favor at all.
