This is because it seems to feature his mother, Princess Diana’s, final resting place at Althorp. While Markle did not exclusively disclose the location in the post, it has received mixed reactions from the royals and the Spencer family.

A royal insider told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that Meghan Markle’s recent post appears to have offended the people who supported her normally. They clarified that the criticism is not just coming from critics but also from the royal family. The source revealed that many are not slamming Markle for visiting what appears to be Princess Diana’s grave but have a problem with the fact that she shared it online.

The source added, “Diana’s grave has always been treated as a place of quiet reflection. If that’s where this photo was taken, many believe it never belonged on social media.” They further note that the post has seemingly upset Prince William too. This is because he’s “fiercely protective” about his mother’s memory. However, the source added that he’s not surprised by any of Markle and Prince Harry’s actions.

“The King is genuinely shocked. Even people who usually refuse to comment on Harry and Meghan are wincing. The feeling is that some family moments are simply too sacred to share,” a royal insider continued.

While Markle’s post might have disappointed several people, a source reveals that a few people connected to Princess Diana don’t mind. The younger brother of Princess Diana, Earl Spencer, is aware that the media attention will eventually remain on Althorp. “More interest in Diana’s resting place is ultimately good for the family estate,” the source added.

The post in question is from Markle, who shared a series of pictures from their summer trip on Instagram. Among the many pictures, what particularly drew attention is an image where Prince Harry and Archie are walking in front with flowers. Behind them is Princess Lilibet, who’s carrying a small purse and a covered bag in the other hand. While the location remains undisclosed, many believe that the image appears to be from Althorp.
