The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck has filed for a divorce from her husband, Zac Affleck.

Court documents obtained by EW show that Jen submitted a proposed parenting plan alongside the divorce filing. The couple have been notified of required divorce and parenting classes.

The former couple met in 2018, married in 2019, and share three children. Jen is currently pregnant with their fourth child.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck has filed for divorce from Zac Affleck, her husband of six years.

Jen filed a petition for divorce in a Provo, Utah, district court on Tuesday, according to documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday. The reality star also submitted a proposed parenting plan, the details of which are not available at this time. The records do not indicate the reason for the split or the custody arrangement Jen is currently seeking.

The couple are parents to two daughters and a son, and Jen is currently pregnant with their fourth child. TMZ was first to report the story.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Zac Affleck and a representative for Jen Affleck for comment.

Following a mandatory Utah civil procedure, the couple were issued a domestic relations injunction, which is automatically ordered by the court in cases of divorce, annulment, paternity, or those pertaining to custody. A domestic relations injunction dictates guidelines around custody, communication, travel, and property that the divorce petitioner and respondent are both required to follow, from the time of receipt to the time a final decree is entered or the petition is dismissed.

In addition, the court issued a Notice of Required Classes, or an order for the petitioner and respondent to undergo divorce orientation and parenting classes. Jen, the petitioner, must attend the classes within 60 days of her filing, while Zac has 30 days to attend upon receipt of the notice.

The Mormon Wives costars began dating in 2018, after meeting on the Mormon dating app Mutual. The couple were married one year later and had their first daughter, Nora, in 2021. Son Lucas followed in 2023, and their most recent child, Penelope, was born last year.

Tuesday marked Nora’s fifth birthday, which Jen celebrated in an Instagram story post that read, “I can’t believe she’s already 5” over a photo of her daughter.

Jen announced her pregnancy with her and Zac’s fourth child in June. The reality star posted a photo to Instagram in which she cradled her baby bump, writing in the caption, “Another masterpiece in the making.”

The couple were candid about their marital issues on Mormon Wives, which debuted in 2024 and has already aired 5 seasons. Last year, Zac admitted that he and Jen “went through hell” filming season 1, adding, “We have these two beautiful kids that we want to fight for. Obviously, two healthy houses are better than one toxic one, but we knew that we could work through this.”

In the first episode of the fifth season, which dropped in full on Hulu in September, Jen and Zac argued about her professional ambitions, with Jen claiming that Zac told her, “‘If you do acting, if you’re in a relationship with someone, I want a divorce.’” Zac conceded, “You’re right,” explained that it was “a boundary I’m setting,” and noted that he “prayed about it and everything.”

This development is only the latest in a whirlwind year for the Mormon Wives, which saw domestic abuse allegations between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, shut down production on season 5 and pull the plug on her upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Back in March, Jessi Draper’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, also filed for divorce from the Mormon Wives star.
