Chloe Pink is turning a painful personal experience into a generous gesture to help others.

The 25-year-old, who married Australian soccer star Toby Pink in March, was "relentlessly cyberbullied" and body-shamed over her appearance after sharing her wedding photos online in a story published by the Herald Sun. The cruel comments ultimately led to the couple redoing their wedding photos.

Since then, anti-bullying advocacy has become "a meaningful part" of Chloe's life, she shared in a Nov. 26 post on Instagram as she announced that she would be auctioning off her wedding dress and donating the proceeds to Dolly's Dream Australia. She also confidently donned the dress to attend the TikTok Awards that day.

"Yes… I’ve stepped back into my wedding dress for the third time, and I’m honoured to do it for a cause close to my heart," she wrote at the time. "After facing some tough comments online from my wedding, advocacy became a meaningful part of my life. Tonight at the TikTok Awards, I’m supporting @dollysdreamaustralia - a charity committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families."

She added: "To help raise awareness, I wore my wedding dress and am auctioning it off, with every dollar going directly to Dolly’s Dream." The auction closes on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Speaking about her empowering decision to sell the dress for charity, Chloe told the Herald Sun, “This dress, which has been part of both beautiful and difficult moments, now has a new purpose."

Reflecting on facing "a wave of severe online bullying and body shaming" after sharing her wedding photos publicly, Chloe added, "What should have been one of the happiest times of my life became incredibly challenging, and it opened my eyes to just how harmful and far-reaching cyberbullying can be, no matter your age, stage of life, or circumstances.”

Back in April, Chloe opened up in detail about her crushing experience with cyberbullying during an appearance on the Will and Woody podcast.

"The [Herald Sun] article went live. I read the comments, and they were thick and fast coming in," she said. "I just spent, I think, three days straight crying at home."

Chloe said she and Toby — who plays for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League — were in total disbelief at the response. "Initially, Toby was like, 'No way. There's no way.' And Toby just sat there in silence for like a good day. And he's like, 'I am so sorry.' "

The new bride then shared how her wedding day was an incredibly positive and joyful occasion until the troll comments rolled in. "My wedding day was the first day where I've actually felt truly beautiful," she shared.

"Even when I uploaded the photos, I didn't question if I looked fat. I didn't question if I looked ugly. I didn't question my appearance," Chloe noted. "I felt so beautiful."

She said this difficult chapter has shown her that "we need to teach our children better" as a society.

"We need to educate our sons and our daughters that we need to stop talking about people's bodies — talk about what our bodies can do, not what they look like," she explained on the podcast.

In October, Chloe clarified her decision to reshoot her wedding photos with Toby, writing on Instagram, "Yes, we re-did our wedding photos, not because our first ones weren’t perfect, but because … I felt like they had become linked to certain articles and comments. I’d naively shared them all at the time, without realising what was ahead."

Sharing just one photo from the new shoot in the post — the rest "will remain private for us to keep in our home," she explained — Chloe also included an important reminder for her followers: "Before you comment, please remember - this is our wedding, our photos, and we’re happy. That’s all that matters. I don’t need your opinion on my body, and if you feel the urge to share it, please just scroll on."
