Sumner Stroh says Adam Levine scandal was an 'absolute sh*tstorm' as she reflects on the ordeal.

The 26-year-old model and singer first made headlines in 2022 when she claimed she had an affair with the Maroon 5 frontman. Stroh alleged the pair exchanged flirty messages and later shared screenshots of alleged direct messages on TikTok. Levine denied having an affair, although he admitted he had "crossed a line."

Stroh has now reflected on how the scandal changed her life. "I don't want to sound like a victim," she said. "I hurt a lot of people, so I don't want to by any means say like, 'Oh, woe is me.'"

"I know it's a conversation that is stuck with me and I have to live with that, but I believe that people are more than their mistakes and more than their past," she opened up in an interview with The Daily Mail. "It was an absolute sh*tstorm, that period of my life," she added.

The allegations first surfaced in September 2022, just days after Levine's wife, Behati Prinsloo, announced she was pregnant with the couple's third child. In a viral TikTok video, Stroh claimed she had been involved with the singer for around a year and alleged he later asked if he could name his unborn baby after her.

"Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model,” Sumner said. “At the time, I was young, I was naive. Quite frankly, I feel exploited. I wasn’t in the scene like I am now, so I was definitely very easily manipulated."

She also shared screenshots of alleged messages between herself and Levine. "Adam and I were seeing each other for about a year. After I stopped talking to him over a period of months, this is how he came into my life."

Following the claims, several other women also came forward alleging Levine had sent them flirtatious messages. Levine later responded in a statement to TMZ, denying he had an affair while acknowledging his behaviour had been inappropriate.

"I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life,” his statement read. “In certain instances it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family."

He continued, "My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together."
