This year has been a particularly monumental one for Taylor Swift. Between buying back her masters, getting engaged to Travis Kelce, releasing her 12th studio album, and celebrating her birthday with a new docuseries on the Eras Tour, it’s been one significant milestone after the next. Throw in some iconic Grammy dance-offs, a Super Bowl appearance, and more than a couple New York City nights with friends, and her last lap around the sun was certainly one to remember.

Her style this year was also one for the books. From diving into Bob Mackie archives, working with independent designers, and trying out a handful of different feathered headpieces, The Life of a Showgirl wardrobe was full of sparkling looks, nods to past performers, and meaningful moments in fashion history. On the flip side, her street style embraced the year’s biggest names—from Thom Browne to Alaïa—with lots of black leather, preppy details, and nostalgic references. Then, of course, there were her festive Chiefs pieces and her extra special Ralph Lauren dress (accessorized with the most exciting jewelry of all).

Though not quite from 2025, this festive look from the final days of 2024 kicked off the year just right. With her crystal-embellished Simkhai coat and fringe Stella McCartney bag, it was just too good not to include. Plus, the coordinating couple’s moment between Swift, with her Louboutin soles and red lips, and Kelce, with his red-on-red ensemble, was one of their bests.

Stepping out in New York City, Swift made her Area two-piece look just like a minidress. The cropped blazer and matching skirt were embellished with gold hardware, and she off-set the structure with some slouchy over-the-knee leather boots from Chloé. Playing into both the hard and soft elements, she picked out a textured Jimmy Choo bag with a gold frame.

Supporting Kelce at the Chiefs playoff game, Swift went for a Chanel-on-Chanel look, wearing a black-and-white tweed coat open to reveal a little black jumpsuit underneath. She accessorized with a gold belt, quilted bag, and knee-high boots from the same house, along with black tights and leather gloves for warmth.

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Swift wore a sparkling Vivienne Westwood dress with a special nod to her 11th studio album, which was nominated at the event. Referencing “Guilty as Sin?,” which features the lyric, “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh only in my mind?,” she accessorized the little red number with a “T” pendant, hanging from the hem of the dress on a chain.

The engagement that broke the internet also likely crashed Ralph Lauren’s website. For the special moment, Swift wore a striped silk-blend dress from the American designer, with a ruched bodice, long skirt, and spaghetti straps. She paired it with a Cartier watch, Louis Vuitton sandals, and her custom engagement ring.

While all of the looks from “The Fate of Ophelia” music video were show-stopping, her Roberto Cavalli rope dress was particularly eye-catching. Inspired by the label’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the long piece was woven from cords and embellished with golden crystals, creating an unraveling effect that covered the showgirl and blended into her surroundings. Elsewhere, Swift wore another Cavalli look—a sculptural halter-neck dress made from leather diamond cut-outs. In both, a brown wig was the perfect finishing touch.
