TMRW Sports, the parent company of TGL co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, is completing a funding round that values the enterprise at more than $1 billion.

The $1 billion valuation represents double its worth from just two years earlier, when it concluded a Series A round placing the business at approximately $500 million. TMRW Sports was established in 2022 by Woods and McIlroy, alongside former Golf Channel president Mike McCarley, and reportedly reached a $650 million valuation during a funding round last year.

Following the conclusion of the World Cup in July, TMRW Sports - which also serves as the parent company for the forthcoming women's indoor golf league WTGL - has been in discussions with prospective new investors, according to Front Office Sports. The NFL is additionally utilizing the company to develop and manage its upcoming professional flag football league.

The new prospective investors emerge after Woods received a five-year driving ban from a judge following his late March arrest. The iconic golfer had his driver's license suspended for five years after reaching a plea agreement in his DUI case.

Woods pleaded no contest to reckless driving and refusing a breath test in Martin County Circuit Court, Florida.

According to the agreement, he was fined $1,500 and cited for careless driving. State attorney Thomas Bakkedahl justified his decision to accept the plea, stating "he did what I think is right."

Woods last competed in a competitive round at the 2024 Open Championship and underwent his seventh back surgery in October 2025. Judge Darren Steele stated that the suspended license "is for the safety of the public.

"There are no exceptions," Steele said. "If you were to drive for any reason at all, you would go immediately back to jail."

Bakkedahl noted that Woods would undoubtedly attract attention if caught driving with a suspended license.

"Of all the people in the world who should not get behind the wheel of a car, it's one of the most recognizable people on the planet," Bakkedahl said.

Woods made his first public appearance at the Travelers Championship, where he and Brian Rolapp unveiled major changes to the PGA Tour. He chaired the Future Competition Committee, which overhauled the circuit's competitive framework and postseason structure ahead of the 2028 season.

"It's great to see him back," Rolapp said at the Travelers. "Tiger's been involved throughout the process, has contributed meaningfully. It's awesome to see him back in great form, so we're really excited about it."
