Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet “can simply be kids” while vacationing in Portugal.
Their parents Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are rumored to own a home there.
Meghan recently shared several photos from her family’s latest trip to Portugal.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are at the center of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s worlds—and vacations. The family of four recently traveled back to Portugal, where the Sussexes are rumored to have purchased a second home.
“They love Portugal because Archie and Lilibet can simply be kids,” a source told People on July 27. “It’s always very low-key with beach days, playing and spending time together as a family.”

Meghan gave fans a glimpse at their latest trip last week, sharing a new Instagram carousel on July 23.
“Summer Holiday,” the Duchess of Sussex wrote in the caption of her slideshow, which included photos of Harry and the couple’s two children. In one picture, the four of them enjoyed a day at the beach. Harry, Archie, and Lilibet ran towards the water as Meghan, wearing a backless black one-piece, looked on.

“That kind of normal family time is really important to Harry and Meghan,” the same insider shared.

According to Town & Country, Meghan, Harry, and their kids traveled to Melides, which is known as the “Hamptons of Portugal.” The Sussexes have vacationed there for a few years, and in 2024, People reported that the couple purchased a home in Portugal, though it’s not clear where.
On the family’s recent trip, Meghan opted for one of Princess Diana’s go-to swimsuit silhouettes: The late Princess of Wales famously had a penchant for backless one-pieces, whether in solid colors or bold patterns.

During a vacation in Nevis with Harry and Prince William in 1993, Diana sported a bathing suit similar to Meghan’s, while years later in 1997, she rocked neon and animal-print designs—both with fully open backs—in Saint-Tropez.
Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet recently returned to the United Kingdom for the first time in years. Joining Prince Harry as he promoted the 2027 Invictus Games earlier this month, they briefly reunited with King Charles at Highgrove House.
