A woman in England is breaking records for having the largest collection of My Little Pony memorabilia.

Miranda Worby features in the new Guinness World Records 2027 book, which is out now, after amassing 4,550 items from the Hasbro-developed toy line, per a press release obtained by PEOPLE.

The 43-year-old, from the U.K. town of Lowestoft in Suffolk, first started her obsession when she was around 3 years old, after her parents said she couldn’t have a real horse, the BBC reported.

She started building her collection as a teenager, managing to fill an entire room in her home, as well as a storage unit, 30 years later.

ā€œI don’t know if I saw one in a field or whatever, but I wanted a real horse and my parents said no,ā€ Worby recalled, per the outlet.

ā€œThen I was in the toy shop in town and I saw a My Little Pony on the shelf and that was it, I was addicted after that,ā€ she added.

Worby told PEOPLE that her collection had grown even more since the official Guinness World Record count, with her now owning around 7,500 items.

She said of her collection, ā€œI always had My Little Pony in my life from the age of 3, but I started seriously collecting in 1997, when i found ponies on auction sites and could find the ones I was missing.ā€

ā€œI think My Little Pony will always be in my life and I will always find something related to that to add to the collection. I can’t see myself not collecting them as I always seem to find items wherever I go,ā€ she continued.

ā€œMy collection is now at around the 7,750 mark, although I had a box of them arrive yesterday that I need to add. Having the world records means everything to me, but it is also for the other collectors, to let them know that if you collect what you love, that is what’s it’s all about!ā€ Worby told PEOPLE on Friday, Sept. 11.

Worby, known in her town as the woman ā€œwith the ponies,ā€ said that through the years, she’d found items that she didn’t have as a child and had purchased cheap boxes from the U.S. as her collection continued to grow, per the BBC.

Worby — who liked the fact she could take the toys anywhere as a child — said that Guinness had approached her about the record over a year ago on social media.

ā€œThere was a message sitting in my [Facebook] inbox and it was sitting in a different one to what I was used to, so I didn’t see it for about three or four months,ā€ she remembered, per the BBC.

Worby — who realizes she may have to give up another room in her house eventually — went on, ā€œIt said it was from Guinness World Records and I thought it would be someone trying to get information... so I didn’t think too much of it.ā€

ā€œI went back to it, opened it, and [realized] they wanted to see if I had the biggest collection in the world,ā€ she continued, per the BBC. ā€œThat was a big surprise because people always used to say to me, ā€˜You must have the biggest collection.’ ā€œ

ā€œI was always quite blasĆ© about it... but once I started counting them I had a few more than what I thought,ā€ Worby shared, admitting that the news ā€œdidn’t sink in at first.ā€

ā€œI actually sat in the room with the ponies and I just looked around and I thought, ā€˜I have the world’s biggest My Little Pony collection,’ ā€œ she said, according to the outlet.
