Loverboy was one of the biggest bands of the 1980s, and one of their biggest hits featured a music video with a cameo from a beloved sitcom star.
In August 1985, the Canadian rockers known for the songs âWorking for the Weekendâ and âTurn Me Looseâ released their fourth studio album, titled Lovinâ Every Minute of It. The title track became the bandâs first U.S. Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song was accompanied by a party-filled music video featuring Threeâs Company star Jenilee Harrison. The actress was best known at the time for her role as Cindy Snow on the ABC sitcom from 1980 to 1982, opposite John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt, after Suzanne Somers left the series.

In the âLovinâ Every Minute of It" video, an amateur cover band performs a Loverboy song at a hotel lounge, which prompts the real band to crash the gig and take it over. Harrison plays a cocktail waitress who gets a bill dropped down her blouse by Loverboy frontman Mike Reno.
In January 2026, Harrison, 67, shared a throwback clip of her scene in the video to Instagram with the caption, âOnce upon a time there was this band called Loverboy⊠and they made a video. âŠ#loverboy #jenileefarrison #rocknroll @80s #wherearetheynow.â
Fans commented to reveal they had no idea Harrison was in the video.
âHow cool! I didn't know you did this,â one fan wrote to the actress.
âThis is so great! I love Loverboy and you!â another fan wrote.
The Song Wasnât Written By Loverboy
"Lovinâ Every Minute Of Itâ was written by legendary music producer Robert John "Mutt" Langeâbut it wasnât originally a Loverboy song.
Speaking on Behind the Vinyl, Reno revealed that the band had actually finished their fourth album but were told their record company wanted them to record one more single.
âAnd [our manager] Bruce Allen said to me, he says, âI've got a good contact in Mutt Lange, who, you know, went on to produce everybody from AC/DC, Def Leppard, The Cars, Foreigner," Reno recalled. "I mean, he was the top guy. And not only was he producer, he was a songwriter. So, Bruce said, 'He's got a song for you.'"
Reno revealed that the band called up Lange in England, and he played the song for them over the phone while they recorded it with a tape recorder.
âAnd then we sat around and listened to it for about 20 minutes. Then we all ran into our stations in the studio, and we just started banging it off,â he added. âAnd, you know, it turned out to be not only the title of the album but one of our biggest songs even today. And it was really the only outside song we ever did. We never recorded other people's songs until this particular song. It was just one of those times."
Harrison landed another big role around the same time that she appeared in the Loverboy video. The actress played Jamie Ewing on the CBS hit Dallas for 70 episodes from 1984 to 1986.
