Yungblud is closing out the year with gratitude, hometown pride, and a not-so-subtle tease that has fans on high alert.

The British rocker, born Dominic Harrison, 28, took to social media with an emotional message after returning home to the North of England for Christmas.

"I’m so f—king glad to be home," he shared in his fan channel on Instagram, sounding equal parts relieved and reflective after what he described as a "mental year."

"I just want to say I love you all and thank you so much for this year," he added, wishing his followers a beautiful holiday wherever they’re celebrating.

Then came the part that has fans buzzing.

"I tell you what…wait for New Year’s Day and January 2nd," Yungblud teased. "Something crazy is dropping. Set your reminders. Little Christmas present for you."

Naturally, fans immediately began speculating about what the announcement could mean. New music? A surprise release? A major collaboration?

"Are we finally getting Idols part two?" said a fan on Reddit. Yungblud has long been teasing the second act of his album Idols, which came out in June of this year.

"I think it might be Bludfest!" said another Reddit user, referencing the rock star's branded music festival. "Didn't he say he has the smashing pumpkins booked for a future icon slot? Maybe that's what the pumpkin entails?"

"For someone who was supposed to be taking time off and canceled gigs, he’s been busy af and is now teasing more of something to be dropping," said another Redditor. The rocker canceled the remainder of his 2025 tour in November due to exhaustion.

Right now, fans can only speculate. Whatever he’s planning for the start of 2026, fans won’t have to wait long to find out. And if his track record is any indication, "something crazy" is probably an understatement.
